Consistency of Planck Data With Power-law Primordial Scalar Power Spectrum

چکیده
Abstract In this work we explore the possibility of variations in primordial scalar power spectrum around power-law shape, as predicted by single-field slow-roll inflationary scenarios. We search for a trace these fluctuations semiblind, model-independent way observations cosmic microwave background (CMB) sky. particular, use two sets perturbation patterns, specific patterns with typical features such oscillations, bumps, and transitions, well modes, constructed from eigenanalysis forecasted or measured covariance parameters. These principle, span parameter space all possible perturbations to and, when rank ordered, ones highest detectability would suffice constrainable data-driven (and not theoretically biased) manner. With Planck measurements CMB anisotropies, amplitudes considered are found be consistent zero. This finding confirms, absence theoretical biases, consistency data assumption pattern spectrum.

Reconstructing the primordial power spectrum
We reconstruct the shape of the primordial power spectrum from the latest cosmic microwave background data, including the new results from the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP), and large scale structure data from the two degree field galaxy redshift survey (2dFGRS). We tested four parameterizations taking into account the uncertainties in four cosmological parameters. First we parame...
متن کاملReconstructing the Primordial Power Spectrum
The combination of Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) anisotropy measurements and Large-Scale Structure observations has caused dissatisfaction with the standard Cold Dark Matter (sCDM) cosmogony, leading some to advocate a “tilt” of the primordial power spectrum away from scale-invariant (n = 1) to n = 0.8− 0.9. 1 Other CDM cosmogonies have not commonly been tilted but their agreement with the ...
متن کاملPlanck Scale Effects and the Suppression of Power on the Large Scales in the Primordial Spectrum
The enormous red-shifting of the modes during the inflationary epoch suggests that physics at the very high energy scales may modify the primordial perturbation spectrum. Therefore, the measurements of the anisotropies in the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) could provide us with clues to understanding physics beyond the Planck scale. In this proceeding, we study the Planck scale effects on th...
متن کاملWMAP 3 - year primordial power spectrum
We constrain the form of the primordial power spectrum using Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) 3-year cosmic microwave background (CMB) data in addition to complementary large-scale structure (LSS) data. We extend the work of the WMAP team (Spergel et al. 2006) to that of a fully Bayesian approach whereby we compute the comparative Bayesian evidence in addition to parameter estimates ...
متن کاملApplication of XFASTER power spectrum and likelihood estimator to Planck
We develop the XFASTER cosmic microwave background (CMB) temperature and polarization anisotropy power spectrum and likelihood technique for the Planck CMB satellite mission. We give an overview of this estimator and its current implementation, and present the results of applying this algorithm to simulated Planck data. We show that it can accurately extract the power spectrum of Planck data fo...
